I'm Still Here!

It has been my intent, as well as my desire, to blog on several occasions.  But, it seems that so many things have happened that have taken my full attention.  Since my last post, our AC went out for a little over five days.  It was quite interesting in over 100 degree temps.  We are renting our home, so we had to wait for our landlord to work things out.  We ended up buying a window unit and "living in our den and kitchen" until the repairman came out and got it up an running.  The computer was in the hot part of the house, so I really didn't feel like sweating while blogging!  At the same time, all five of my children came down with a horrible viral infection that seemed to go straight for the chest.  That lasted two full weeks before they were back to normal and we ended up missing eight days of school here at home because of it.  Thankfully, when you homeschool, you have the flexibility to allow them to heal fully before going on.  My youngest son, which is six, ended up being transported one evening by ambulance because he was having problems breathing.  I had given him steroids here at home because he woke up gasping for air and thinking he was dying.  I rode in the ambulance with him while Jonathan stayed with the other children.  We stayed there all night and into the wee hours of the morning.  They gave him oxygen and other treatments and when we left, praise the Lord, he was so much better.  I cannot tell you how terribly scary that is as a mother!  I, too, have been experiencing some health problems.  The doctors are rather perplexed about it.  I had a CT scan done of my head and am awaiting the results.  I would greatly appreciate your prayers.  God is the great physician and if He chooses, He can totally take these things away.  If not, He is perfectly just as just and loving.  I will let you know what I find out as time goes on.  I miss checking out my favorite blogs and posting about our lives here more often.  Please bear with me as we go through this transition in our lives.  God bless!

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I pray that God's healing hand would be upon your family.

Dear Jackie ~ I am sorry to know you have been having such struggles! I will put your name into our "prayer basket" and we will pray for you as a family. How precious to KNOW the LORD is in complete control of all things...resting in HIS Sovereignty in the midst of all these trials is a great comfort!

In His Love,
Camille

P.S. Funny enough...the word verification I had to type to post this is "rested"...usually they don't make any sense! ;-)

Oh, my goodness, that place looks simply amazing. I would love to go there someday. What a beautiful place and of course I love anything that is historical.

Hugs,
Jackie
