Yesterday, my precious youngest child turned three years old. It grieves me that she is growing up in a country with a President and a Congressional majority that is on an all out assault against the children of this country. Just recently when Obama outlined his faith based program, he stated, "There is no God who condones taking the life on an innocent human being." I find that probably one of the most disgusting, hypocritical statements he has made thus far...and believe me, there are plenty to choose from. If God does not condone taking the life of innocent human beings, then how can this man condone giving millions of dollars to the abortion industry to promote his pro-death stance? How can he be pushing the Freedom of Choice Act, which if you do not already know, will reverse the decisions already made about partial birth abortion and will take back all rights from the states to make their own laws concerning this? And for those who think it is okay to give women the right to choose because a fetus is therefore not a real child, most will admit that pulling an almost full term baby halfway from the mother's body to insert a device something like an icepick into its brain to kill it is barbaric at the very least. But yet, Obama thinks a woman has the right to do this and wants once again to force this killing on those who have already outlawed the practice. And if that were not enough, Obama has nominated David W. Ogden for the number two position in the office of the Attorney General. Just another day in the life of a man who views life from the most leftist, anti-Christian basis. Ogden, while an attorney in private practice, has filed briefs OPPOSING the following: parental notification before a minor's abortion, spousal notification before an abortion, the military's policy against public homosexuals serving in uniform, and the Children's Internet Protection Act and the Child Protection and Obscenity Enforcement Act. His clients have been those such as Playboy and Penthouse and the largest distributor of pornographic movies. And we want someone like this in the Attorney General's Office, a man that has actually fought for the rights of clients who exploit our children through pornography and Internet trash? And if all that were not enough...Hillary Clinton is pushing (of course with the nod of Obama) for America to sign onto the United Nations Rights of the Child, which basically will put in the government hands the right to choose what is best for our children and not us. It will put international law as precedence over our own constitutional law. Once again, this kind of action is moving us more and more toward a socialist/Communist rule. And it is amazing to me the amount of people that are swayed more by the charismatic nature of a man, rather than his true character. The only hope that we have lies in Christ. The fact that Barak Obama is in the White House means ultimately that God put him in control. He tells us He is the One who raises up kings and brings them down. And I can only believe that this raising up of a man so contrary to the God of the Bible means judgment to a nation that has rejected the laws of God. We have chosen prosperity over principles. We have chosen supposed comfort over character. We have chosen government over God. And it wouldn't matter what the stimulus package had in it. Our efforts will not be blessed when we so blatantly shake our fists in the face of God and tell Him to take a back seat to what we want. Read back over the Old Testament at the times when the Lord said, "And every man did what was right in his own eyes...And they did evil in the sight of the Lord...And the Lord delivered them over into the hands of the Philistines, etc." Pray, pray as you have never prayed before...if not for yourselves for the sake of your precious children and grandchildren. America as we have known it is fading quickly. But, the God of Heaven still reigns and just as He saw His people through hard times before, He can do it again. This does not mean it will not be without persecution though. An oftentimes overlooked part of Scripture is the part that tells us to expect persecution if we are followers of Christ. Those days may be approaching us faster than we realize. I want to close with the Reverend Billy Graham's prayer for the nation. He put is so eloquently when he said, 'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and To seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those Who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our Spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor And called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists And called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and Called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We Have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom Of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers And called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; Cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!'
